The Peninsula Trail is a priority initiative of the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council.
It has the potential to attract off-peak and mid-week tourists and more evenly disperse them across the Peninsula.
It will offer opportunities for eco-tourism, Aboriginal cultural tours and access to our vibrant food, wine and art scene.
The Somerville to Baxter trail is fully funded and the Mornington to Moorooduc trail is the next step.
I was proud to commit $5 million to this project at the 2022 election but it went unmatched by Labor.
